A new adult novel that perfectly captures the existential angst of your early twenties with raw wit, fresh insight, and true feeling from a critically adored USA TODAY bestselling author.

Joshua Miles has spent his early twenties spinning his wheels. Working dead-end jobs and living at home has left him exhausted and uninspired, with little energy to pursue his passion for graphic art. Until he meets Gemma Henare, a vivacious out-of-towner from New Zealand. What begins as a one-night stand soon becomes a turning point for Josh. He can’t get Gemma out of his head, even after she has left for home, and finds himself throwing caution to the wind for the first time in his life.

It’s not long before Josh is headed to New Zealand with only a backpack, some cash, and Gemma’s name to go on. But when he finally tracks her down, he finds his adventure is only just beginning. Equally infatuated, Gemma leads him on a whirlwind tour across the beautiful country, opening Josh up to life, lust, love, and all the messy heartache in between. Because, when love drags you somewhere, it might never let go even when you know you have to say goodbye.

Who wants to go on an epic field trip via words from a super awesome author?

I do!

And that is what happened in Where Sea Meets Sky by Karina Halle.

After one fun and heated Halloween night in Canada we see one besotted guy make a life altering decision to go to New Zealand right as he gets news that he has been waiting on his entire adult life.

Not knowing where the girl lives let alone her last name he sets off.

Enter some Germans who do some detective work so that there is a chance for Josh so that he can find Gemma.

And as luck would have it, they find her. Shocking right?

Well poor Josh has his own shock. Just as he agrees to go on an epic site seeing adventure with Gemma and her cousin he learns that she has a “friend” who happens to invite himself along.

Can we say awkward?!

Imagine all the intense moments between two hot once lovers and now there is an obstacle in their way.

Gemma doesn’t know what to do. She is stuck in her old way of thinking but sees Josh as her new light.

After a dark and scary night we see the “friend” leave. This allows Gemma and Josh to explore each other and what could happen.

All is well until a trip to see where the end of the earth meets the afterlife in Maori culture. The exact opposite of what Josh wants to happen, happens.

Peace out for Josh.

Will they be reunited? Will Gemma get her head out of her self imposed dark clouds? Will Josh follow through with his dream?

One way to find out. One-click this book!

Karina painted each scene with all the colors and brushes she has at her disposal. I felt as each trip and scenery was a postcard laid out in front of me. There is a great balance of each stroke of sex, drama, humor, angst and need.
